Senior Bi Application Analyst (Maternity Cover)
Salary - £60,000
35 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract - 6 Months

The global IS function based in London and Bristol is responsible for the effective provision of technology solutions and operations across the 37 countries in which MSI operates. It comprises a team of 40 in the UK, with smaller teams in many of our country programmes. Based on a five year strategic plan, IS key focus areas include the evaluation and implementation of business system solutions, provision of effective infrastructure and technology to meet business needs, IS governance to ensure that security and compliance requirements are addressed, and robust and effective delivery of ongoing operations.
About the role
As part of the Business Intelligence (BI) Applications team, the Senior BI Application Analyst will be responsible for managing key aspects of the development of new BI applications. Working closely with the Global BI Systems Accountant you will be responsible for designing solutions based on user requirements, then managing the development and system testing phases of the solution production.
The roleholder will also be responsible for helping to manage and maintain existing BI applications available to the organisation as well as the supporting documentation which governs these.
About You
- Demonstrable development experience on Multi Dimensional OLAP applications, preferably Infor BI or Cognos TM1
- Experience in the design and implementation of financial systems
- SQL stored procedure development experience and knowledge of SQL queries.
- Experience in data migration routines
- Experience with SunSystems V6, Q&A 10 and Professional Advantage products advantageous
- Experience in multi business unit, multi-currency environment in a global setting
- Experience in remotely accessed finance systems (i.e. via Citrix/RDP)
- Experience in control structures of a global finance system and their maintenance
- Experience of ITIL or ISO 2000 frameworks desirable
- Experience of training end users in processes and procedures as well as OLAP solutions desirable
- Advanced Excel skills including VBA programming
