Marie Stopes International operates through a network of channels (Clinics, Social Franchise, Marie Stopes community-based Ladies, Outreach and Public Sector Strengthening). This network is complemented by our Social Marketing (AKA Commercial Sales) operation which provides and supplies medical abortion and emergency contraception and other contraceptive and sexual reproductive health products within and outside our service delivery channels.

The primary responsibility of this role is to further MSI’s Goal: The prevention of unwanted births and its mission of ensuring an individual’s right to: children by choice, not chance.

The Function:

The Programme Design and Development (PDD) team is responsible for the design of new donor-funded programmes and the development of competitive proposals at Marie Stopes International. The team works with MSI’s country programmes, technical and clinical teams, and the External Affairs department to develop competitive and strategic programmes to drive the strategic growth of the organisation and to expand and diversify donor funding. Forming part of the International Programmes Department, the PDD team plays a pivotal role in deepening MSI’s capacity in programmatic strategy, technical design, and partnership development at the global and country level.

 

The Role:

This role will manage and ensure maintenance of PDD’s online library of tools and resources, serve as the PDD lead for the Client Records Management (CRM) system, and key link with other teams for developing and implementing cross- team systems and process. This role will also contribute to development and submission of MSI applications for external funding.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Post-graduate qualification in public health, international development, or related field (desirable)
