The Role:


To provide a first-class Employee Relations service to line managers and colleagues that embodies our company values and minimises disruption to the day to day running of the company whilst being compliant with UK legislation and company policy.

The main purpose of this role is to support and advise on all Employee Relations cases including but not limited to; investigations, suspensions, disciplinary, capability, grievance, long term sickness, occupational health referrals and appeals.


About you

To succeed in this role, you must have:

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working within an HR setting
  • Exposure to the employee relations processes, e.g. Sickness absence, disciplinary, performance issues
  • Knowledge, understanding and application of employment law
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent IT skills, including previous experience of HR systems
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own work
  • Ability to use own initiative and make decisions.
  • Able to work in confidence and with discretion
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines

Qualifications and Training:

  • CIPD part qualified or relevant experience

Personal Attributes:

  • Employee Relations case management experience
  • Knowledge of best practice ER process, relevant UK employment legislation and some knowledge of recent case law
  • Generalist HR experience, ideally with a CIPD qualification or working towards this
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office applications particularly with Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Can demonstrate the ability to provide a solution orientated service – providing clear recommendations on what the next steps should be
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and use own initiative
  • Able to organise and manage own workload effectively
  • Able to adapt quickly to multiple business areas and bespoke requirements

Salary: £30,500-35,000 dependant on experience
