The Role:

The Global Communications Team is looking for a Coordinator with excellent organisational, communications and digital skills, heaps of initiative, and a passion for MSI’s mission. The role involves providing communications and administrative support to the Team in order to increase the visibility and effectiveness of its work across the organisation and with external audiences.

MSI is fast-paced and very international: the incumbent will have an interesting and varied workload, and lots of responsibility. On a day-to-day basis, they can expect to liaise with all parts of the business, including its overseas programmes, as well as other members of the Team.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working for a busy communications, digital or marketing department, in a junior comms, secretarial or administrative role (essential)
  • Excellent computer skills – must be highly proficient at Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint (essential)
  • Excellent organisational skills (essential)
  • Excellent oral communication skills (essential)
  • Excellent grammar and spelling (essential)
  • Excellent research and collation skills (essential)
  • Ability to prioritise (essential)
  • Exposure to communications and digital media channels (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrable proofreading experience (highly desirable)
  • Exposure to, and experience with, content management systems – preferably Sharepoint (highly desirable)
  • Communications experience (desirable)
  • Experience working in an international environment or with people in developing countries (desirable)
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector (desirable)

Qualifications and Training:

  • Degree, OR company secretarial qualification

Salary: £23,800 – 28,000 dependent on experience.
