The Role:  

The Senior Manager, Data Integrity is a new and critical role within MSI. Reporting into the Senior Director, Global Programmes, with strong linkages to other key departments, the role holder will be expected to lead and coordinate the organisation’s efforts to meet MSI’s Scaling-Up Excellence strategic target to ensure all of our services can be validated. In 2019 this will include launching and successfully transition MSI through its next phase of data validation standards (DVS) roll-out.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal communications skills, able to work and liaise with stakeholders across an organisation across teams and career levels (essential)

  • Strong influencing skills with the gravitas to engage with senior management at all levels (essential)
  • Writing and editing documents and reports to a high standard (essential)
  • Ability to grasp issues at a granular and detailed level but with the ability to provide a macro/strategic level perspective (essential)
  • Demonstrate methodical and high organisation skills (essential)
  • Strong numerical skills (essential)
  • Good understanding of internal controls, and the ability to articulate end-to-end processes (essential)
  • Strong understanding of ongoing trends in donor reporting and data validation within international development, with specific knowledge of DFID’s requirements (desirable)
  • Managing data and large data sets, designing Excel solutions for inputting and managing data (desirable)
  • Development and implementation of templates, tools and processes (desirable)
  • In-country international development (or equivalent) experience, including working directly within monitoring & evaluation – with focus on data collection and management processes (desirable)
  • Fluency in French (desirable)

Qualifications and Training:

  • Relevant under-graduate or post-graduate degree (essential)
  • Experience providing risk and consultancy services in a professional services setting (desirable)
  • Professional accounting or project management qualification (desirable)
  • Advanced Excel competence (essential)
